Barakat is an experienced campaigner and has previously volunteered to help those suffering from food insecurity. She believes the best answer to a well-rounded food industry is inclusion and transparency in the process, production and distribution of goods. At Bite Back 2030 Barakat hopes to work on campaigns that tackle the lack of transparency in the food system and misleading claims or marketing on food products.
